El Camino de Miguel

August 9 août: 20km – pas d’internet / no internet!!!

Très fiers de notre première journée de marche! Pas d’ampoules, beau soleil et un vent agréable quoique par moments assez fort pour faire revoler nos casquettes!

Quite proud about our first hiking day! No blisters, lots of sun, beautiful blue sky, quite windy, enough to blow our caps off!

Après la montée et 8 km nous sommes arrivés à Saint-Christophe-sur-Dolaison où nous avons fait une petite pause. On rencontre plein de monde sur le chemin et ils sont super gentils!

After climbing out of le Puy and walking some 8 km we arrived in Saint-Christophe-sur-Dolaison where we rested a little. We meet a lot of people on the way and they are super nice!

Miguel est très bon pour repérer les signes qui nous indiquent le chemin à prendre.

Miguel is getting quite good at seeing the signs that keep us on the right path!

Nous sommes passés dans un joli boisé et avons vraiment apprécié l’ombre!

We enjoyed the shade as we walked through this little forest.

En arrivant près de Montbonnet il y avait une jolie chapelle romane.

Just on the outskirts of Montbonnet was this pretty Roman chapel.

Cette affiche nous a fait rigoler : « Entre qui veut, sort qui peut! »

This sign made us laugh: “ Enter if you wish, exit if you can!”

Notre gite est un peu plus loin entre des montagnes.

We’re staying in a nice place surrounded by mountains.

Demain nous devrons marcher 17km sous la pluie et les orages. Maintenant on a faim et on va souper!

Tomorrow we’ll be walking 17 km under rain and thunderstorms! Now we’re hungry and can’t wait for supper!
